Search, compare and retrieve the same package evidence used by the package chooser. No API key is required.

All endpoints use GET. Paths below are relative to this site.

Search accepts q, category, goVersion, cgo (any or none), platforms (linux or windows), license (any or permissive), capabilities, verifiedOnly and limit (1–20). Use comma-separated values for lists. Comparison accepts the same constraints plus ids.

Connect with MCP

Add a remote Streamable HTTP server in your MCP client with this URL:

/api/mcp

Choose HTTP / Streamable HTTP transport. Authentication is not required. The endpoint is stateless; your client performs MCP initialization before calling tools.

  • search_packages — Find candidates from requirements.
  • get_package — Retrieve a profile by id.
  • compare_packages — Compare two to four ids against requirements.
  • get_example — Retrieve an authored example by id.

Install the discovery skill

Download the skill into an awesome-go-discovery folder in your agent's skills directory, saved as SKILL.md. Supply this site's origin when invoking it. The skill uses your agent's existing model and the public API.
